For You

The beauty of the sky and moon,
hues of color, reflected there,
upon the river that I love, its
embrace comforts and purifies me,
its songs a comforting melody.

When I gaze upon this beauty,
the peace and joy it brings,
it reminds me always of the
most important things.

Of the beauty we’ve been
gifted, the heavens above,
the earth that we stand upon,
and all that surrounds us
with pure love.

That there are many people
who walk this same earth as I,
who have good hearts and spirits
and see the beauty in all life.

It’s for these friends I am grateful
as grateful as I am for the river I
love so well…grateful for the song
birds and the mountains where I dwell.

Grateful for the life I’ve been gifted
and the beauty of this land, grateful
for the good people, who reach out
with a good and loving hand.
